Getting Started
Cart is currently available only via Java Web Start and CVS.
Java Web Start is a technology that allows users to download complete java applications and run them locally with a simple click of a single link. To get started on the Windows platform with Internet Explorer, click the "Run on Windows" link at the top of the page. If you are not using both Windows and Internet Explorer, you will need to install the Java 1.4 JRE and the Java Web Start client (for more information on how to do this, click the documentation link). Then click the "Run, All Platforms" link.
This is mostly of interest to prospective Cart developers. CVS is a system for shared source management. You can find more information about it at cvshome.org. For information about compiling Cart from source, see the Developer's Guide in the documentation section.
